[16:51] Are You a Fellow Schuyler?

I confess, I was rather amused by the following spontaneous IM exchanged I participated in the other day:

(02:23:47) SchuylerMK: hello
(02:24:27) SchuylerMK: are you a fellow schuyler?
(00:30:13) S D Erle: w00t
(00:30:28) S D Erle: I am also a Schuyler, named from birth
(00:30:31) SchuylerMK: hello
(00:30:36) SchuylerMK: same here
(00:30:39) SchuylerMK: good work
(00:30:49) S D Erle: I wish I could take credit for it
(00:31:00) S D Erle: there are precious few of us
(00:31:03) S D Erle: we gotta stick together
(00:31:03) SchuylerMK: right on
(00:31:12) SchuylerMK: hell yeah, brother
(00:33:14) S D Erle: clearly you are not the Schuyler of schuyler.net
(00:33:20) S D Erle: I believe he is still too young to use AIM
(00:33:27) SchuylerMK: no im not, i didnt know of it
(00:33:33) SchuylerMK: really?
(00:33:41) SchuylerMK: ill have to check that out
(00:33:53) S D Erle: I forget, it's been a while since I looked :-)
(If you're still wondering how to pronounce our name, wonder no more. The name is, of course, Dutch in origin, and apparently means "scholar". I spent quite a while talking on IRC to LotR, who is Dutch, trying to understand how they pronounce it, and I honestly still can't tell you how the Dutch actually pronounce it. Thanks anyhow, LotR!)

[14:26] Help Stamp Out Telemarketing!

Print out a copy of this handy script, and hang it by your phone for the next time a telephone solicitor interrupts your dinner. Or, if that's too whimsical for you, try a more hard-edged approach. Remember, folks, turnabout's fair play! (Good finds, ua!)
